Acer With a New Concept Of Notebook PC

Acer is hyping things up with a teaser page on their website for the unveiling of a new “notebook PC concept” to take place New York later today.

Clearly not with the concept of a world wide web, whatever is to be revealed, described by Acer as an “innovative, industry-first, laptop design” will not be shown in the UK until a press event on Thursday 20th March.

Acer Aspire L5100and Acer Aspire L3600 designed for home users for the Indian market.

The new, steel black, ultra small form factors are 1/10th the size and 1/4th the weight of a conventional tower desktop and come with rich multimedia features, a 19″ TFT Display and a multimedia keyboard.

The Acer Aspire L3600 is powered by an Intel dual-core E2140 (1.6 GHz) processor whereas the L5100 is powered by AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ (2.1 GHz) processor.Both the systems are equipped with a system memory of 1 GB DDR2 RAM and 160 GBSATA 7200 RPM drives.

The desktops also have 16XDVD-R/W Super-Multi Drive and a multi-format card reader. The bundled OS on both these desktops is Linux. The Acer Aspire L3600 is available at a price of Rs. 26,999 and Acer Aspire L5100 is available at Rs. 24,999.
